Jerejak Downhill Challenge 2012

It's call the Jerejak Downhill Challenge for a reason, downhill bicycle challenge at one of the 'unexplored' track in Penang, the Jerejak Island.

This island gained its alias as the Alcatraz of Malaysia because of the Jerejak Prison back in the old days. Sir Francis Light, Penang's famous founder, first step foot in Pulau Jerejak before heading to Penang Island. Back then, it was made the naval base during the British colonial era.

Another interesting fact about Jerejak  Island is, it used  to be a quarantine centre for immigrants before they flood Penang Island. But later in 1930s, there was a hospital built at the island for Tuberculosis patients. But don't worry, it's all clear now....no more virus or whatsoever.

Here's a pic of how it used to look like,  i mean, the rehabilitation centre...

Well, enough with the history, here's some pics of the event itself.

The event was participated by downhill challenger from all over Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Iran, Denmark and even as far as Sabah & Sarawak...hehehe...

Well, like they say it, good things must come to an end, though we had great fun learning history at the island, enjoying the sea breeze, lurking at the macho riders and admiring the game, we still have to say ADIEUS!!

~A memorable moment trip to Sibu by Bus Asiastar~

Dear Fellas,

It has been a while since our last blog updates in March 2012. So we have been kinda busy with some of the roadshow going on and I had to participate in to ensure the roadshow are carried out smoothly. I pretty much assume that you all know what is the Celebration of Sports Roadshow which we had it earlier on in Miri & Bintulu and this time the EMY Girls and I personally participate in the roadshow. Well of course not to mention I'm glad I can be part of it, the girls are thrilled when they know that they are also participating in. Tadaaaa.....Presenting our pretty EMY Girls from Angel Team. Well haha....."Charlie's Angel".

Shirly: We love taking photos of ourselves. **Hui Ching posing**
Michelle: Hey hey.....Where am I? I should be in too....Hello..........
Shirly: =____=' Ok......We shall let you in then. I have to admit she loves taking photos too though she denies it most of the time.
Michelle: You are definitely wrong. I am not, I just thought I should look cute here. Hahaha
Hui Ching & Shirly: Whatever............

So in the bus. Woohooo. First time we are going off to Sibu by Bus **Asiastar** which is so called an executive coach for VVIP's. Awesome right?

Look there's the tv for us.

Junk Food and drinks are provided too.

Michelle: Hahaha. I told you right. You would feel yourselves as if you are in a flight due to the services

Shirly & Hui Ching: Yea Hor. A little bit of the feel. Hahahaha.
**View from inside of the bus

Ohhhh. There goes the "Tom & Jerry" cartoons.

The ride was indeed a 7 hours ride till we reached sibu at 5am. Tiring & Sleepy on the first day but however the spirit of the journey are still strong.

I was trying to rest while waiting for the room to be ready.

It was nice view during that early morning when we reached there.

Shirly & Hui Ching: Peace there............Haha

We arrived at SING KWONG our first day of working.

And there goes the FARLEY on the second day

Woohoo. Hui Ching tries to play and attract the crowd.

OUR FOOD. HAHA

And this is us.......Though Im not in and I presume this picture wasn't taken by me itself. They are so camwhore. lol

Well overall the roadshow has in fact taught us a lot of things. The girls put in the initiatives to approach the members of the public while using the Product Knowledge too to the consumer.

Well I guess it is time for us to go now.

Adios Amigos....
Signing Off from here,

Damai Beach Earth Hour Ride

So hiiii......

Since the last cycle ride, here again we attended an event which in conjunction with the Earth Hour Day, Damai Beach Management in collaborations with Sarawak Cycling Association organized a Damai Beach Ride 2012.
The destination basically involve the "Starting Point" from Esplanade, Waterfront till "Damai Beach Hilltop".

This was basically the starting point where all the cyclists gathered together meanwhile the other 2 girls were already setting up things at the finishing point at Damai.

Add caption

Wooo. People are anxious to start off

Start off .............

The cyclists looking back before continuing

Go go. Don't give up

Hush hush hush. Everything feels tired after a 40KM ride all the way
Going down the hill feels just nice

Reaching Damai - Finishing Point

Basically everything was under control and just about when the Team arrives at Damai not too long, it started raining heavily and despite that everyone stills continue their journey to the Finishing Point. A bottle of RED BULL are just fine to keep them physically revitalized.

I guess that is all for now. Signing off.

Penang EMY's 1st Ipoh sampling!

To say it's our 1st trip, it is not...
To say it's our most fun trip, it's not...
BUT,
It's the MOST EXCITING trip EVER!!

It was our 1st sampling in Ipoh, and together with our dear 'big sista' Joanne as the driver, it was so much fun that it's all about Ipoh food, Ipoh's road trip and Ipoh's leng lui & leng chai...

What is Ipoh if we didn't have our 'yim kuk kai' aka salted chicken as our lunch?

Here we are at our 1st destination after a heavy heavy downpour. So, it's the stadium area, sure there's a lot of area for us to sample, the swimming pool, badminton court, the squash arena and the football field..

Getting ready to swim? Red Bull gives you energy to swim faster, challenge other and hold breath longer :)

Badminton challenge? No  problem...drink Red Bull for all the energy you need to smash hit your opponent!

Nong Rene 'finally' found a Ipoh lengchai...hehehe...

After dinner, it's back to work again...since this is the 1st sampling in Ipoh, we went for a full ride around town to check out places who need energy :)

Next stop, hotels and motels..
Security guards are the most important people at night shift, stay alert with Red Bull!

Receptionist who worked night shift needed energy as well...

Not to say that we are very hardworking, but we really are...we went for Drive sampling at the bus station near Ipoh town to let all the bus driver know the importance of alertness.

At Red Bull, it's all about energizing those who need :)

Till we meet again, IPOH...we'll miss you!!
